This is a Full time post (37 hours) with the opportunity for the role to be open to job share for 2 part-time appointments

Enderby Parish Council is seeking to recruit a full time Caretaker/Grounds Maintenance Assistant. The Full time post is for 37 hours however the Council will also consider job share/2 part-time appointments to join a small close working team.

You will be responsible for the maintenance of Parish Council owned land and properties. The applicant must have good communication skills and be self-motivated with a willingness to work in varying weather conditions. Experience of using Grounds Maintenance equipment is desirable however training will be given.

A full clean driver's licence is essential together with good organisational skills and experience in DIY. There will also be some administrative duties included along with equipment maintenance/inspections, meter readings, fire alarm and emergency lighting testing. Core hours are 37 per week (Pro-rata for job share/part-time posts). In addition, there is a rota for opening/closing the Civic Centre during evenings and weekends. The person appointed will be expected to take part in this duty and therefore flexibility is required along with good communication as frequent communication is required with the Parish Office to ensure the smooth running of the Council's Services.

NJC Grade LC1 SCP 6 (Range 5-6).
