The latest play at Enderby Civic Centre was the excellent standard we have come to expect from Live and Local productions – and extremely funny. Once you have been to one of these performances you will want to return. The majority of the audience on October 25th had been to several shows there before.

Enderby Parish Council and Blaby District continue to support these valuable community opportunities; a number of local district councils have withdrawn from the scheme.

If you are not familiar with Live and Local shows, look out for a brochure at your local library, on neighbourhood notice boards or on-line. The shows are all by professionals who tour the country presenting their plays/ music etc in local venues. The standard is very high.

Enderby was visited by Nicholas Collett and Gavin Robertson who performed "Done to Death, By Jove", a spoof version of every murder mystery you have heard of. Sherlock Holmes, Dr Watson, Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot all put in an appearance to solve the murder – no easy feat when you have several suspects and two actors to play all of them! Even with (reasonably!) willing assistance from several members of the audience the result was impressive – very fast moving and inventive. "Terrific", "well-acted" and "I laughed all the way through", "Well done, a great night of entertainment." are just a few comments from the audience members who all went home with smiles on their faces.

Live and Local will be returning to Enderby on Saturday,
14th March 2020, with a show about a retired hairdresser delivering library books to people in outlying villages; it's called "Powered by Fairydust". It is described as "A hilarious new Comedy-Drama with a heart of gold". See you there!

Tickets available (nearer the time) from the Parish Office at Enderby Civic Centre or call 0116 2753711.
